We did a three-day trekking with Chan in 2010. And it was such a nice experience. Chan was a lovely and funny guide, with hundreds of interesting storys to tell and the jungle, the Karen villages and the food were so beautiful/delicious. This year we tried to do an other trekking with Chan, but sadly he was on a trek when we arrived in Chiang Mai. We hope it will work out next time! See you! |

Dear Chan, It’s quite hard to find the right words fitting to our last 3 days of trekking with you. It’s been an absolute amazing tour. Thank you for making our stay in Thailand a Special One. Thank you for giving us a Little idea how to Deal with Nature in a sustainable and peaceful Way. We won’t ever forget you and this experience. Best regards from Germany, |

Chan was recommended to me through German friends of mine. What a wonderful time and what an amazing trekking trip! This has been a highlight of my Thailand visit. The trip was very carefully arranged. It leads through places that seem only sparsely visited by tourists – definitely off the beaten path. The description of the tour on Chan’s website was very helpful for me in setting expectations. Besides the unforgettable nature experience – swimming in a water fall, hiking, the views, the rain and the sunshine, the rice fields, and the wilderness, the elephant ride, and (for me the highlight among highlights), the bamboo rafting – besides all that, what made this trip so marvelous was Chan’s cheerful leadership, the many stories he shared, the laughter, the outstanding dinner that he cooked up for us, the constant care he showed to make sure everyone was on board and that there weren’t any false expectations. Although my group was exclusively German/Swiss, most of the conversation was in English – Chan’s English is excellent. And he knows to make us all laugh. It may be of interest to some that I am travelling solo and am staying in Chiang Dao (not Chiang Mai), but am very flexible with time. I asked Chan to contact me, if he has a group of several people going on a trek that I could join. It was all worked out by email and I happily joined a group of four for the 2 day trekking adventure last week. I was also able to be join the group on their way to the trekking launch rather than going all the way into Chiang Mai. Thank you, Chan, for making this a fabulous adventure! |
