Our trekking experience with Chan was fabulous! He was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and provided a very unique experience. The trip to the starting point was very interesting and allowed us to experience the countryside. The hiking was fun not just because of the scenery but because Chan added color to everything we saw and encountered showing us local plants’ alternative uses, telling stories of his childhood, explaining customs of the local tribes, and elaborating on Thai culture and history. The lunch break location was beautiful with a cool waterfall and a gourmet lunch Chan prepared and served on banana leaves. His professionalism and organization were superb, and we would recommend this experience to anyone who is interested in seeing a less touristy part of Chiang Mai and wants to learn more about the wonderful Thai people and culture.
